Hi Charlotte! We were doing a business retreat and stayed at the Yurt above the Ice rink. What a fun town! We also did some skiing at Discovery. I will have to make a stop over to Woodland creations that next time 🙂 Great to hear from ya!

If I understand what you mean to do, I think that could work. Just be careful when pouring the concrete that it cant seep under the face of the wood frame. Good Luck, make sure to update with pictures on the project. Cheers!

Thanks Pete.

My thought is now is to use the wood frame as the mold with the bottom framed out for 3/8 birch plywood inside. once the concrete is dried a day or so, add the plywood and flip and let the top dry before finishing https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/12cf5b4617c0a5b6474efa40a70a98e85650862ad9315e2c02fea827fdb6d0bf.png

It depends on your intended use. If it is light use for small projects, I can recommend Ryobi battery powered nailer. It eliminates the hassle of having a compressor and hose, and is much quieter. You can pick them up and your local Home Depot. However, I would say that if you intend to use the nailer a lot and you already have a compressor or would be willing to invest in one, this small porter cable nailer has been my favorite lately. Here is the amazon affiliate link: http://amzn.to/2EY6b5e It has been a really reliable and versatile nailer for me. Hope this provides some insight, I will add it to my resources page soon. Cheers!

Scott, the bench turned out great! I’m so glad that you were able to make such an awesome memorial for your Dad. Putting it under his favorite tree is so wonderful, I hope that you are able to sit there often. Cheers!

Wanted to send a quick thank you for your video on how to build a harvest table. I have never made anything and your video empowered me to do something. Thank you again as my family will enjoy this table for many years to come. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/b304eaa0ac4ee727a902ed5f128add90582dae0fd4f74a5eb541160b6121eb95.jpg

Thanks Pete. I made a memorial bench for my Dad & put it under his favorite tree. I love how it turned out.
