Hi Tim, the gate has held up well with the 4×4 posts. I did end up anchoring the 4×4 to the house with a few lag bolts. Good luck with the fence build!

A few more detailed questions if you wouldn’t mind: 1) It looks from the pictures like your gate posts are 4×4 as well. Have you had any sagging in the gate that would suggest a need for 6x6s around the gate? 2) My layout is like yours, with a post next to the house. Did you attach that post in any way to the house, or just anchor with concrete in the ground like the rest? Thanks again for making this great resource available!

The water is able to flow underneath the fence so I haven’t had any issues with water.
