Thanks for the reply. I have your youtube channel subscribed to and I’ve passed it along to a few friends as well. You do great work.
]]>Hey Dustin! You’ll want to experiment on whatever boards you are working with to test the psi you’ll want to use. Some pallet wood is hardwood and others are softwoods. It can be adjusted super easily. Have fun with that new compressor and nailer!!!
]]>Hey Pete, I just stumbled across this page, I was wondering, I have a 16 gauge finish nailer, and I will be working entirely with reusing pallet wood to build random things, I just want to be sure that a 16 gauge will do the job and is there a recommened psi I should set it to, so they don’t go too deep. UPS will be delivering my compressor and nailer today!
]]>Hey Tony! I used 18 gauge nails and an air powered nail gun so they are small and countersunk. You don’t really notice them at all and they blend in with the already distressed pallet wood. Make sure to use glue in the process. You can then use L brackets on the back to strengthen each corner if you feel necessary. This can all be accomplished without a Kreg jig 🙂
